Notice is hereby given that Brookings County, SD has declared as surplus,

the property legally described as follows:

Legal Description:  Farmland, Subdiv., Lot A of Gov’t Lot 3, S of RR, City of Aurora, Brookings Co., SD.

NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN:  Public Auction to be conducted in the City of Aurora at Aurora Finance Office, 202 S Broadway St., Aurora SD.  Said real estate located thereon will be offered for sale by the County at public auction on the date of:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2019   10:00 A.M.

This county surplus property auction consists of the following real estate:

This bare lot is located in the city limits of Aurora, South Dakota.  The lot is approximately 2 +/- acres in total size and is located on the southeast side of the city limits.  This property is currently designated a Class G lot, and has residential properties and bare land surrounding. New buyer(s) must confirm with city and county for use allowance.  New county assessment and tax levy to be issued after sale.  This auction is to be held under the following terms: 

TERMS:  Property is sold as is, without any contingencies, warrantees or guarantees.  Title will be transferred by quit claim deed issued through Brookings County in accordance with SDCL Ch. 10-25; no title insurance will be provided.  Any further use, zoning, or development is subject to the approval of the governing body wherein the property is located.  County will record the deed in the Register of Deeds office.  Parties with questions may contact the Auctioneers or the County Finance Office at 605-696-8250.  The Brookings County Commission reserves seller’s confirmation and holds right to make an award deemed to be in the best interest of Brookings County. A 10% non-refundable earnest money deposit due day of the sale, balance due on or within 30 days of the County passing a resolution approving the sale.
